When the Minnesota State Fair redeveloped the west end, formerly Heritage Square, the family owned West End Creamery took advantage of the change to re-imagine the look of their longtime ice cream shop. They asked me to help them create the feel of an old-fashioned ice cream parlor with hand-painted product banners, new menu boards and an ice cream sundae photo-op stand.
Peter Rabbit Toy Box
Claire's mom bought this old toy box at a garage sale for $5. Not only was it pretty beat up and missing hinges, it was painted a solid dull green. Dad put on new hinges and they entrusted me with the task of of bringing the story of Peter Rabbit to life.
Little Free Library
For Mother's Day this family built a Little Free Library, then hired me to paint it up with the flowers from their mother's garden.
I created this clock background for the the Wedge Co-op when they wanted to dress up the column behind their customer service counter.
